The Catherine Hinds Institute currently offers a 600 Hour Advanced Esthetics Programs:

600 Hour Advanced Esthetics Program

The educational objective for the 600 Hour Advanced Esthetics Training program is to prepare the student for the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology Examination in Esthetics. This program provides the student with all necessary basic information, as required by the State, to operate as an entry level esthetician performing American or European Facial treatments, make-up artistry, and wax epilation techniques. The Advanced Esthetics Training curriculum prepares the student to perform comprehensive facial esthetic services, including advanced age management modalities and acne treatment procedures. It provides proficiency in a number of esthetic treatments, such as microdermabrasion, ultrasonic and chemical exfoliation, as well as extraction techniques, lash extensions, make-up and more within scope of practice, per the Division of Professional Licensure, Policy No. 2017-01

Program Schedules & Hours

Full Time Day
Details
  • Monday – Friday
  • 9:30am – 4:00pm
  • 30 minute lunch break (12:30pm – 1:00pm)
  • No credit will be given to a student after 4:00pm
Part Time Day - AM
Details
  • Monday – Friday
  • 9:30am – 1:30pm
  • 15 minute lunch break at discretion of instructor
  • No credit will be given to a student after 1:30pm
Part Time Day - PM
  • Monday – Thursday
  • 2:30pm – 6:30pm
  • 15 minute break at discretion of instructor
  • No credit will be given to a student after 6:30pm
Part Time Evening
Details
  • Monday – Thursday evenings
  • 6:15pm – 10:15pm
  • 15 minute lunch break at discretion of instructor
  • No credit will be given to a student after 10:15pm

Chronic tardiness resulting in failure to maintain satisfactory progress will be grounds for dismissal from the Institute.

Credit will be given only for actual hours in attendance.
