Follow these steps to apply to the Catherine Hinds Institute:
FSA ID and Password
You must create a FSA ID and password to electronically sign the FAFSA. This ID will be needed throughout the application and enrollment process. Please keep this ID and Password safe, yet accessible to you, as you will need it prior to graduation.
The FSA ID, the answers to the challenge questions, and the password are all important information that will be used time and again at different intervals. Please be sure to secure this information so that it can be recalled when necessary.
Parents of dependent students will need to use/create their own FSA ID.
If you have been locked out, cannot retrieve your FSA ID, or are having difficulty, call the FAFSA help line at 1-800-433-3243.
Completing and Submitting a FAFSA
Go to: https://studentaid.gov or Download the myStudentAid app (available in both Apple App Store or Google Play).
Be sure to have your Federal tax returns available for your reference; use the actual financial data from your tax returns; do not guess or rely on memory. If given the option to use the IRS DRT (Data Retrieval Tool), we highly recommend you do so to eliminate errors in the financial section; the IRS DRT pulls your tax information directly from the IRS Database.
Parents of dependent students will complete their financial information using their tax returns for the corresponding years. They can also use the IRS data tool if applicable.
You must enter your name exactly as it appears on your Social Security Card.
