Follow these steps to apply to the Catherine Hinds Institute:
FSA ID and Password
You must create a FSA ID and password to electronically sign the FAFSA. This ID will be needed throughout the application and enrollment process. Please keep this ID and Password safe, yet accessible to you, as you will need it prior to graduation.
If you have an FSA ID, proceed to step 2.
If you do not have an FSA ID, proceed to:
https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
This will prompt you to create an FSA ID
- The FSA ID, the answers to the challenge questions, and the password are all important information that will be used time and again at different intervals. Please be sure to secure this information so that it can be recalled when necessary.
- Parents of dependent students will need to use/create their own FSA ID.
If you have been locked out, cannot retrieve your FSA ID, or are having difficulty, call the FAFSA help line at 1-800-433-3243.
Completing and Submitting a FAFSA
Go to: https://studentaid.gov or download the myStudentAid app (available in both Apple App Store and Google Play)
Complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA using 2022 Taxes and 2025-2026 FAFSA using 2023 Taxes:
- Students will complete their financial information for 2022 & 2023 Taxes by giving consent via questions asked on FAFSA.
- Parents of dependent students will complete their financial information for 2022 & 2023 Taxes by giving consent via questions asked on FAFSA.
- You must enter your name exactly as it appears on your Social Security Card.
- Catherine Hinds School Code: 015768, Grade Level – 1st Year
- You must enter High School Completion Status to be eligible for federal funding.
- Once the FAFSA is complete, electronically sign your FAFSA with your FSA ID. Parents of dependent students must also sign the FAFSA with their own FSA ID.
- It will take approximately 5-7 days for the school to receive your information.
- Review your email regularly for communication from the Financial Aid Office or our third-party servicer FAS (Financial Aid Services) as additional documentation may be required to determine aid and sometimes these emails end up in your spam or junk folder.

Completing the Entrance Counseling
An online tutorial, necessary for borrowers to have a full understanding of their financial obligation.
Go to: https://studentaid.gov or Download the myStudentAid app (available in both Apple App Store or Google Play)
Student:
- Click Complete Aid Process
- Click on Complete Entrance Counseling
- Click on “I am an Undergraduate Student”
- Be sure to notify Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics – Woburn, M
- Complete all required readings and answer all questions in order to submit Entrance Counseling.
- At the end, make sure you “Submit your Counseling”.
Completing the Master Promissory Note
A legal document in which the borrower promises to repay their loan(s) and any accrued interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education.
Go to: https://studentaid.gov or Download the myStudentAid app (available in both Apple App Store or Google Play)
For Students:
- Click Complete Aid Process
- Click on Complete Master Promissory Note for Undergraduate Student
- Click on “I am an Undergraduate Student”
- Login with the FSA ID and password to complete
- Follow prompts within the process
- Be sure to notify Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics – Woburn, MA
- Keep a copy for your records
For Parents: Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student (PLUS)
- Click Complete Aid Process
- Click on MPN for Parent
- Click on “I’m a Parent of an Undergraduate Student”
- Login with the FSA ID and password to complete
- Follow prompts within the process
- Be sure to notify Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics- Woburn, MA
- Keep a copy for your records
